Turning drop-offs into engagement

To reduce drop-offs during the first-time sign-up process, I led an end-to-end onboarding improvement project at Banksalad.

The goal was to enhance the first impression of the app and improve the conversion rate through better brand communication.

Sign-up conversion climbed by 11% and received positive feedback for making the brand feel stronger.

Based on 'No proper on-boarding content since foundation' and 'Encouraging users to sign up without feeling the charm of the service', I analyzed how to appeal in a concise and attractive way.

  • About 45% of users proceed from the first screen to the next screen.

  • The app is very heavy because it runs on the web.

  • Unfortunately, Hypothesis 2 did not meet the target metric.

The most important takeaway from this experiment is that onboarding walk-throughs really help shape how users see the brand. To leave a strong first impression, it’s important to keep improving this part of the experience over time.The project laid a strong foundation for future improvements in UX writing, branding, and overall onboarding strategy.

I truly appreciated the synergy that came from working with cross-functional teams. It was energizing to exchange ideas, explore possibilities, and work together to bring solutions to life.

The most important takeaway from this experiment is that onboarding walk-throughs really help shape how users see the brand. To leave a strong first impression, it’s important to keep improving this part of the experience over time.The project laid a strong foundation for future improvements in UX writing, branding, and overall onboarding strategy.
